About

You found me. Welcome.

If you’re here you probably know about my live weather station and webcam. While I’m not a meteorologist, I am an expert. I have had an innate connection to the skies for as long as I can remember. As a child I was glued to the television whenever the weatherman was on.

In high school I spent countless hours reading every journal and book on weather I could find during my lunch breaks. Whenever the weather changed, my friends would say “Gio said it would be like this.” I was counted upon. I was the weatherman. To this day, my coworkers depend on me to know what’s going with the weather and interpret the forecast for them.
Everything about weather fascinates me. From the nasty heats waves to the heavy snow that buries my car. I love the mechanics and chaos of it all. One thing is for sure… I never chose to love weather …it chose me.

So the idea for this site is for it to be a collection of links, videos, pictures, of anything weather related that affects my town, Nevada City, California.

Nevada City California is here.

Where is Nevada City California?

Awesome site! Glad to see it all working! I’ll be checking up on the weather here from now on.

    You’re (almost) always right!

  • Hey Giovanni-

Great site! We are WordPress users, too. This is a very helpful way to incorporate blogs into our community.

    Thanks!

Totally awesome site. You just saved me a lot of money cause I am a weather freak and was going to buy one of those silly little weather stations for my house. I live on top of Red Dog. and we have a different microcliment here. Lots more snow than Nevada City proper, but not as cold and more cloud cover. Interesting.
Later and thanks for the great site.

Greetings.. Sorry about the delay in responding. Thank you for visiting my site. I truly enjoy helping others with my information. I know what you mean about micro climates. I lived in Cascade Shores for 6 years and remember being buried in 3 feet of snow while Nevada City only had a dusting. Driving down Red Dog I remember the snow magically disappearing by the cemetery. Cascade Shores is where I originally ran the weather Station and webcam. Lots of fun up there, I inevitably had to move to warmer Nevada City.
